Favourite daycream/moisturizer part 1 (Els): Review Dr. Jart+ Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer

Hey guys,

In these two post we will show you our favourite daycream/moisturizers and tell you why we love them so much.

Dr. Jart+ Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer

I actually discovered this moisturizer just about six weeks one ago, but it immediately became my all-time-favourite. By the time I bought this moisturizer, I was using the Dรฉcleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Active Lotion, which was quite okay but didn’t do much for my skin. However, I was not looking for a new moisturizer. While standing in line at the check-out at Sephora I saw a limited edition box with three small-size Dr. Jart products in it (the moisturizer, a bb cream and a miccelair water). I heard good things about this brand, and it was a special price, so I decided to give it a go.

What the moisturizer claims to do:
– Instant burst of hydration for dry skin
– Brightens dull/lackluster skin
– Longlasting moisturization

I have normal to combination skin; some spots can become quite dry (mostly with cold weather or with weather changes) and my t-zone can get a bit oily throughout the day. Sometimes I have a few little pimples (usually once a month). My skin tone is also slightly uneven, with a bit of redness on my cheeks. But overall, I can’t whine, because my skin is quite good.

I feel like this moisturizer balances my skin very well, I don’t have any dry spots anymore, so the moisturizing part is definitely working, but my t-zone also gets less oily! Besides that, I hardly got any pimples since using this moisturizer. Also, I feel like it made my skintone a bit more even.

The texture of this moisturizer is quite special, but hard to describe. It’s light, not creamy (more gel-like) and if you put it on your hand you can see little ”water bubbles”. One thing that I love is that it absorbs so extremely fast, which is great when you need to put on makeup but you’re in a hurry. Besides that, I hate when a moisturizer ”sits” on your skin.

Now the bottle is slowly coming to an end, which means that I have to start looking where I can buy this moisturizer online as I can definitely not buy it anywhere in the Netherlands :(. I would recommend this moisturizer to everyone with any type of skin!
