Review: GlamGlow Plumprageous Matte Lip Treatment

Hello beauty lovers,

Who does not love full and plumpy lips? We do! That’s why when we first saw the Plumprageous Matte Lip Treatment from GlamGlow, we were dying to test if it really works. GlamGlow is mainly famous for its face masks. But somehow we had never used lip products from GlamGlow, until now. The lipproduct is available in 5 colors, we both have the clear ones. It can be worn alone, or under your favourite lip color.

The first thing that we like about the Plumprageous Matte Lip Treatment is the packaging! The product comes in a bright pink package, the product itself has a silver/metallic look. The best thing about the package is the way it opens! It does not work like a normal lipstick or lipgloss, we have never really seen this system before. It is kind of hard to explain it in text, so we hope the pictures below will make it somewhat clear. But, first you need to dial the product until a metallic stick pops out (the stick is the lip pencil), then you pull the stick out of the package and there you get the lip pencil with the treatment.

When we first tried the Plumprageous Matte Lip Treatment, we really liked the peppermint smell of the product and the (quite intense) tingly-feeling, although some people might hate it, this is really personal. We truly felt like our lips were  a little plumped. In comparison to other products that we’ve tried, for example the Smashbox lip plumper and the Lip Fusion XL Advanced Lip Plumping Therapy, we did really like the GlamGlow Plumprageous Matte Lip Treatment the best.

We have now been using the lip treatment for a couple of weeks. We still love the tingly-feeling and the smell of the product, but we do not think it really makes your lips bigger, it just swells up your lips through the ingredients that are in it. Of course, this is always the case with products like these, so we did not have really high expectations. We do also like the fact that is makes your lips matte while still hydrating them, which works great under a lipstick. But we would not necessarily recommend this product if you have high expectations of really having bigger lips, as it is quite expensive (around 25 euros/dollars).

On the first picture Megan has just put the lip treatment on her lips. On the second picture the treatment has just dried. You can see that your lips still look natural and matte, but are a tiny bit plumpier.

Did you give this product a shot after reading this or do you have this product at home and want to share your opinion, let us know!
