Review: Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray

Hello lovely readers,

We know it’s been a looong time.. But we have summer holidays now, which means we will have plenty of time to write a lot of blogposts! Today it’s time for a product review: the B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray by Urban Decay.

I (Els) bought this product about six weeks ago, and have been using it almost every day since. I spray this on my face in the morning before I do my makeup, so kind of as a primer. However, some people use it before they put on moisturizer, which works as well. It has been the perfect product for the warmer days as I like to use it on days when I’m not wearing any makeup as well. You can also use it during the day, because it doesn’t mess up your makeup!

What the prepping spray claims to do:
– Absorbs oil
– Reduces redness
– Minimizes pores

The main reason I wanted to try this spray is because of the oil absorbing and redness reducing. Normally my t-zone tends to get a bit oily throughout the day, but not when I use this spray! Even though my skin is never extremely red (just some spots), it does definitely reduce this and makes my skin look more balanced, which is especially nice when I’m not wearing any makeup. I can’t really say anything about the pore minimizing yet, as I somehow wasn’t aware of this benefit. But I read some reviews on this and a lot of people say it visibly tightens their pores as well! So I will pay attention to this from now on and will then update this post in a few weeks. I also feel like my makeup goes on smoother when I’m using this before applying.

Another bonus for me is the ingredients. I would only use primer on nights out, as I don’t really like how ”silicony” most of them feel. This one comes without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates – great for sensitive skin. It doesn’t break me out at all. Even though they say this product is suitable for any time of skin, I would not necessarily recommend it to people with very dry skin.

If I have to name one negative aspect; it is a bit expensive, and I don’t know how long the bottle will last but I love this product so I will definitely repurchase.

XOXO DD
